 Valuation Survey
This survey provides an appraisal of the current market value of the vessel; that is, “what a knowing buyer would pay to a knowing seller in a free market”.
Valuation surveys can vary, according to the wishes of the client, from the depth and comprehensiveness of a purchase survey to a brief letter identifying the vessel and estimating the surveyor’s opinion of its current market value.
Valuation surveys are often used when refinancing, to obtain a mortgage, to assist in determining a selling price or to determine a tax credit when vessel are donated to charities. |
