Sea Trial
The sea trial allows the marine surveyor to evaluate the engine and overall vessel performance under the load and stresses for which it will be used. The steering, controls, engine mounts, shafts, and exhaust systems are also checked.
Engine Oil Analysis
The oil analysis will detect if there are any contaminants in the oil such as water , antifreeze, or salt. The lab analysis can also detect internal wear of the engine if extreme wear is present. Lab results are usually available in three days.
Extensive Moisture Analysis
Areas on a vessel showing signs of moisture can be evaluated extensively and digital photographs of your vessel developed showing moisture levels from meter readings and hull soundings.
Compression Checks
Compression checks can be completed on gasoline engines to assist with determining the internal condition of your engine.
Standing Rigging Tuning
Sailing vessel standing rigging tensions are measured and balanced to maximize rig performance and safety in accordance with the characteristics of the vessel and needs of the client.
Repairs and Construction Monitoring
New vessel constructions are monitored and reported at key phases to ensure compliance with contracted specifications. This service is especially useful to offshore clients who have vessel under construction on Vancouver Island but who cannot attend the site at convenient times and intervals. |
